Patagonia to be carbon-free

Torres del PaineTorres del Paine

The government of Patagonia has announced that they will be totally carbon-free by the end of April. This is mainly because the region is blessed with beautiful and consistent high-speed winds. Indeed, neighbouring coutries have expressed some concerns that the new turbines may slow the rotation of the earth, one side effect of which would be to throw Starlink's satellites off course.

Interesting fact: the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia’s first king was a Frenchman, Antoine Orélie de Tounens, anointed by the local Mapuche people to help them resist colonisation by the Spanish. The wind outlasted him.
