Argentina/Uruguay
“We had a fabulous holiday thank you! We loved Casa Glebinias near Mendoza - a garden paradise with large rooms and good food. The wine tasting day was amazing ending up at Quinmerino with its tasting menu and stunning views. Salta too was brilliant and our guide fantastic. Finca valentina was by far our favourite hotel and we so needed a flop by the pool after long days travelling around the region. We loved Buenos Aires and both hotels there were a hit. Montevideo was possibly a step too far (our fault of course) as by three weeks in we were pretty tired. But we loved the hotel, the old town, and it was great to see our niece. Overall a wonderful trip - 8 flights, 8 hotels and a ferry and all worth it. Thank you again, we're now huge fans of South America!” - N&DC travelled in February 2026
Mexico

Our full day with him and visiting Monte Alban and visiting the family for lunch (and to see their weaving/rugs), that was definitely a highlight. Cuba
“We've had a very rewarding and, it seems, quite critically-timed trip. Chile/Argentina
“Overall our 4 week holiday to Chile and Argentina was exceptional. Every day was different, all our guides were excellent and your little green booklet was invaluable. You took into consideration all our interests and worked within our budget to put together a trip to suit us. It was the perfect mix of guided excursions combined with some free days to be more independent, and do our own thing. The Atacama more than exceeded our expections, having a hire car in the Chilean lake district suited us very well and our stay at Cerro Guido in Patagonia was a real highlight. In Argentina we had an excellent day visiting Perito Moreno Glacier and did some great hiking, and a bike ride, in El Chalten in Los Glaciares National Park. Buenos Aires is great city and La Bandada in the Pampas was wonderful. We learnt so much and felt very spoilt at times - thank you again for organising such a wonderful trip, we will have no hesitation in recommending Last Frontiers.” - BF travelled in November 2025
Peru
“Peru was quite simply the most amazing holiday, I still can hardly believe we have done it. We both cannot thank you enough for organising it for us. Everything ran like clockwork the whole team of people who looked after us were so kind, friendly and efficient and our accommodation was brilliant - just perfect. As for highlights there were so many. Ale, our guide on the first day in Cusco was phenomenal and some of the Inca temples just blew me away. Machu Picchu of course and don’t even get me started on the rain forest I cried when I left. Our guide Fernando was just amazing. We ended up with 3 days at Tambopata - what a place so peaceful we left so much more knowledgeable and enriched. I have some amazing photos and so will be able to look back and remember what was the holiday of a lifetime and the holiday of dreams. Cuba
“Many thanks for organising a fabulous holiday in Cuba for us. The local agency was great and provided a solid platform and base for our trip from the moment we arrived, giving us confidence from the outset that all would work efficiently (at least, so far as possible in Cuba). Particular praise and thanks go to our driver, who went out of his way to ensure we were not only in the right place at the right time but also added value by sorting extra trips and also managing to get us into a couple of places which were officially closed. He was always positive and cheerful notwithstanding a few obstacles, such as the inevitable black-outs. All in all, a trip to remember.” - AB&AP travelled in January 2025
Costa Rica
“I wanted to say a huge thank you for having worked so hard to organise such a wonderful holiday for us. “We have had the best holiday we've ever had and can't thank you enough - it was fantastic. All the arrangements worked perfectly, the guides were excellent and the wine tours, in both Uruguay and Argentina, were out of this world! You listened to us when you asked what our interests were and put together a first class itinerary which ticked all the boxes. The suggested choice of accommodation was perfect for our needs and all the food delicious. “We had a fantastic trip, thank you for all your organisation. All the guides turned up and it all went like clockwork. Our guide in Mendoza for the wine tour was fantastic and also we also had a great guide/driver for the Salta area - he was a very safe driver and went out of his way to organise things for us.
It’s hard to say what the highlights were but definitely include the following:

Ecuador/Galapagos
“Our trip was amazing. We were so impressed with how organised everything was, it really was ridiculously easy for us. At every point there was someone waiting who knew exactly where we should be going, what we needed etc.
I know that most people go to the Amazon before Galapagos, which I understand, but for us I preferred the order in which we did it. I think I would have been wishing the time away waiting to head to Galapagos, and our kids thought that the wildlife experience was just as good. On that point, we were really lucky. We finished Galapagos snorkeling with hammerheads, Galapagos and white tip reef sharks. We also got to swim with penguins, sea lions, turtles and so many fish. We are generally spoiled at home in terms of snorkeling/diving but this was incredible. At Napo, in the Amazon, we got to see the giant river otters hunting, carrying their young and generally messing around which was incredible. So at the risk of waffling on, our wildlife encounters were incredible and not just for the twitchers in the family.
The respective accommodations were excellent. We were very lucky on our boat that we were with a lovely family. Given that it was so small, it would have been a very different experience if they weren't so lovely. The guides we had were all very knowledgeable and friendly.

“We had an amazing holiday - our third trip to the country but this time it has really felt like we have been “in” Argentina. The journey from the Andes to the Atlantic was spectacular and jaw-dropping and Gwion was wonderful as a guide and friend. Sunset to ourselves with the colony of 600,000 Magellanic penguins at Estancia San Lorenzo was very special.” - I&LW travelled in January 2025
Colombia
“We would like to thank you for organising a wonderful and VERY successful trip for us. Overall Colombia was the perfect country to explore for three weeks. So much variety, very friendly people, we had the time of our lives. We loved Colombia and had a once in a lifetime trip - so thank you all! So many Colombians we met and spoke to (and that was quite a few) could not believe how many places we visited that they had never been to and were unlikely to, ever - we were very lucky.

“We had a fabulous trip. The hotels were all really good, and perhaps we should have built in more time to enjoy some of them.
The main highlights for me (having visited Iguassu before) were the trip in the Salta area which was well organised, the guide excellent, and the scenery around Salta really magnificent; and the final stay at Pousada Alcobaca in Petropolis. I should also mention the wine tour in Mendoza - the seven-course meal with wine pairings an unexpected surprise.

“In a nutshell we had an amazing experience. Some extraordinarily beautiful scenery/landscapes, great people (particularly the Chileans we met), some fantastic food (everywhere) and simply a great vibe wherever we went. The only downside I would have to say is that we did too much. Looking back we could easily have spent 4 weeks just in Chile, but the temptation to see as many places as we could got the better of us and now we need a holiday to recover! Cuba
“We had a fabulous holiday and feel as if we immersed ourselves in Cuba. There were all sorts of highlights, from snorkelling in the Bay of Pigs, to hiking to Fidel's hideaway in the Sierra Maestra, to spending a morning visiting Hemingway's haunts by 1950s open-topped American car. We would like to make special mention of your Cuban partners who organised our accommodation, transport and social agenda and most notably, their driver/guide, who was exceptional. He looked after us for 13 nights with immaculate driving - no mean feat on the roads and with the fuel shortage - humour, warmth and consideration. He introduced us to local customs, food and experiences beyond our expectations, and gave us confidence in an unfamiliar environment. All the other guides we met along the way were also well-informed, friendly and helped to make our Cuban adventure very special.” - JF&PW travelled in February 2024
